Interview: Chip Zdarsky (Part 1)
We're talking with Chip about Public Domain, Spider-Man: Life Story and working with Tom Brevoort in part one of our conversation.
Hey folks! Later this week, the one and only Chip Zdarsky will be at our store - Variant Edition - for a signing! This Saturday, May 20th, Chip will have his signature hand ready to go (probably) for the folks who managed to nab a signing ticket in advance, from 12pm-3pm. If you didn’t nab a ticket, you can try your luck waiting in an overflow line for when there are times where we have no more folks with tickets, or at the end of the day, as Chip said he’ll stick around a sign until no one is left.
One of the reasons why we ticketed this event was to be cognizant of Chip’s time, as he still has deadlines to hit, so if you do show up without a ticket, you’ll have to move quick. We are also maintaining a limit of 5 signed items per person, in addition to anything you might purchase in store on the day of the signing.
Anyway. Enough of the housekeeping.
Ahead of the signing, we had a chat with Chip about the books he’s promoting, and creating in general. It was a swell time! We have the first part of that for you here:
Join us later this week for the second part, and finally, finally, more content at this SubStack. Y’all have been patient with me, and I’m excited to get things up and running properly again after hitting some doldrums, writers block, and a particularly event heavy May.
Oh! Before I go, check out Chip’s own Substack, would you? He’s pretty neat.
Talk with you soon,
-B.
