Well said. I’ve loved Kamala from the jump and I’m glad to hear however hanfisted her actual death was, she’s being treated with reverence.

Great piece! I enjoyed the issue, even not having a big connection to the character in the comics. I thought the TV show last summer was great and Iman Vellani is a star in the making.

Although I bet you didn't think Marvel was going to announce what's happening next with Ms. Marvel right after you sent this out? Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this new development.

Yeah, I didn't expect Marvel to make that announcement right away, though in hindsight, the timing makes sense.

I think the announcement shows a huge amount of investment in the character, both in terms of her place in the Marvel Universe, and in the publishing line. The mini-series nature also lines up with all of the Fall of X books too. Should be interesting times for the X-line at the end of the year, and I'd wager Kamala being a part of what's to come.

Yes, agreed. Particularly in the number of variants they announced earlier this week. They are making a big deal about it. Someone made an interesting comment on a Discord server I am on that it's good that they made Kamala an Inhuman to begin with so she didn't get immediately swept up into the X-Line, where there are very few solo character ongoing books.

Man, Kamala, like a lot of the best Marvel creations, was a creator-owned character that somehow wound up as Marvel IP (Because if there was an actual creator owned book like it, it would be crickets.) She needed G. Willow Wilson or an extremely capable replacement. Those early issues have such spirit, a shame so much of it is about Inhumans.
